Combining a background in Software Engineering and a strong interest in economics and politics, Blair (Basil) brings a unique perspective to engagements. Over the 20 years of his professional career, he has undertaken a broad range of roles from Lead Consultant, Data Analyst, Business Analyst to Project Manager. He particularly enjoys helping clients with their analysis and has strengths in data analysis and modelling.

Basil has strong domain knowledge of the Social Sector, particularly with Oranga Tamariki and MSD, and early in his career led an Applications team at the Ministry with overall responsibility for the core case management system, CYRAS. He commenced his career with Accenture working on Child Youth and Family systems since their early days.

Basil also takes the lead on Security and Privacy strategies for Fingo, acting as an advisor for the management team, and is one of the original members and shareholders of Fingo.

Basil also has Better Business Case experience and is trusted for his advice to senior leaders in government.
