Blair is one of the original Fingoites who established Fingo and leads Professional Services. He is particularly interested in modernising legacy applications, whether it be evolving them to leverage new technologies, integrating them with new platforms, or ensuring they are retired in a dignified manner. He has deep technical knowledge, as well as having a passion for leading synergistic, high performing teams, who consistently deliver and thrive on meeting clients’ needs.

Blair has spent much of his time supporting large enterprise environments within the public sector and is sought after for his insights into complex problem domains. He has encountered most scenarios within software delivery now and enjoys working with the seemingly insurmountable challenges that come with modernisation.

Initially, Blair joined a global consultancy, before spending time working in a university environment, and then returning to the public sector. Over the years he has worked predominantly within Java development and design.

Blair has also been a business owner and semi-professional football player in New Zealand. These days Blair is known as an avid follower of eSports and MMA.
